The Moluccan Day on Kwaku will take place on Saturday, July 29, 2023. This day is co-organized by TIFA Magazine and the Rhythm of Maluku Foundation. And has been an annual phenomenon since the beginning in 2016.
The Moluccan Day on Kwaku attracts thousands of visitors every year and is one of the most visited days of the Kwaku Summer Festival. The goal is to promote Moluccan music, culture, textile and culinair.
Kwaku Summer Festival
The Kwaku Summer Festival started in 1975 as a small-scale football tournament in the Bijlmer, but has grown into a grand celebration of cultural diversity and identity in Amsterdam’s Southeast district. With culture, sports and food as the main forms of expression and where broad (social) participation and the Surinamese origin as the main pillars.
